2009 Yonex/OCBC US Open Grand Prix Championships

The $80,000 2009 Yonex/OCBC US Open Grand Prix Championships being held from 6-12 July at Orange County Badminton Club, California is set to be an exciting event. More than one hundred players from 20 countries will be participating, including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, India, Chinese-Taipei, Denmark, Scotland, England, Wales, Austria, Jamaica, Canada and host, USA.
The Open will include several World Champions and Olympic Gold Medalists. Among those are USA’s Men’s Doubles champions, Tony Gunawan and Howard Bach who have recently started competing together and are regaining their awesome 2005 form. Two other big names are Chinese Women’s Doubles star, Gao Ling and Indonesia’s singles maestro, Taufik Hidayat are among the crowd pleasers who will be participating in this year’s US Open.
